The Rhodes Scholarship funds two years of study in any field at Oxford. Applications are considered by a decentralized committee located in each participating Rhodes country/constituency. Prospective applicants are encouraged to be in touch with NCS Advisors to learn about the application process and timeline associated with their home country. Applicants must apply separately for admission to their graduate program. Applicants in some constituencies must be nominated by Duke to compete for the award.

The scholarship covers all educational costs for two years of study, including travel, tuition, housing, food, laboratory and other fees. Candidates pursuing a doctorate may petition for a third year of funding.

Scholars also participate in professional development and community events, as well as gain access to a strong alumni network and ongoing opportunities for networking, collaboration, and advancement.

In most constituencies, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the relevant country (DACA recipients should apply through the U.S. process) and must be graduating seniors or recent alumni under the age of 24 with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher.
