At Duke, college is a verb.
Duke University is a close-knit, vibrant campus community. QuadEx, our new residential model at Duke, is comprised of seven Quads on West Campus that will welcome all, enhance social and intellectual connection, and foster lifelong bonds.
Chloe Decker, BN Duke '25, on QuadEx
"As a new Duke student, you will develop a love and loyalty to your first-year dorm community. As a first-year student, I doubted whether I would really like the new QuadEx housing model, but now, as I head into my sophomore year, I'm excited to be rooming again with my first-year randomized roommate, blocking with friends who I met through the Focus program, and being a part of Quad Council so I can plan events for other students in my quad to enjoy. Whenever I have needed help during my first year, whether it be socially, academically, or mentally, my dorm community has been there to support and grow with me."
Includes places to dine on campus, including the Marketplace, an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast, dinner, and weekend brunch, an a-la-carte weekday lunch dining hall for first-year students, and other additional dining facilities on campus
