Class of 2025
(She/Her/Hers)

Hometown: Nakuru, Kenya

Academic Interests: Though I have yet to decide on an academic path, I plan to major in Computer Science, minor in either Economics or Electrical and Computer Engineering, and get a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Hobbies: Besides programming, reading books, volunteering, watching comedies, and playing video games, I'm an ardent basketball player.

Why Duke?

I chose Duke University because, unlike other schools, Duke strives to foster not only academic growth but also cultural and social growth, aspects that are imperative for a holistic and meaningful educational experience.

I am eager to involve myself in extracurriculars that explore the intersection of technology and business, such as The Duke Robotics Club, In Cube, Duke Startup Challenge, Duke Engineering Founder's Workshop, Duke Association for Business Oriented Women, and hopefully start a club or two.

Being a Karsh International Scholar for me means having a robust and fulfilling experience, sparking my intellectual passions, and at the same time fostering a collaborative space where I can learn and unlearn from my fellow scholars.

At Duke, I hope to take part in fun activities such as exploring Durham's food scene, visiting The Nasher Museum of Art, and unwinding in the Sarah P Duke Gardens.
