Why Duke?

Since starting at Duke, I have been involved with a great range of activities, from music to the FOCUS programme. I have very much enjoyed singing with the Chorale and Chamber choirs, and performing solos and readings in their concerts. During my second semester, I participated in a Study Abroad programme at St Andrews in Scotland, where I devoted my studies to Theology. The experience of studying at a very different university was incredibly valuable, and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to study one subject in such depth. Now I am returned to Duke, and am in the process of starting a new student organisation, the Anglo-American Society. The society aims to support British students and faculty, arrange speakers and events on Anglo-Amercian topics, and hopefully further Duke's transatlantic relations. I am looking forward to continuing my packed schedule of academic and co-curricular activities next semester, and taking advantage of the plethora of opportunities that Duke has on offer.
