What are your passions and interests outside the classroom?
In the classroom, I am passionate about learning the intricacies of environmental policy. Particularly, how we can create and implement effective policies that address the realities of the climate crisis. In my free time I enjoy attending concerts, working out, cooking with friends and family, and attending any and all Duke sports events.
Why did you choose Duke?
I fell in love with Duke the moment I set foot on campus during my senior year of high school. Witnessing the tight-knit community coupled with a highly engaged student body in academics, extracurriculars, and student-life helped me realize it was the perfect place for me to spend the next four years of my life. When I was admitted, I was ecstatic to join this vibrant community. From furthering my understanding of environmental policy to black tenting and climbing the Duke Chapel, I cannot wait to further immerse myself in what it means to be a Blue Devil. The generosity of the Office of University Scholars and Fellows and the Trinity Scholarship have already been an integral piece of my time here, and for that I am forever grateful. The privilege of not only attending college in my home state, but also at my favorite place, has been the utmost privilege, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of my time here holds.
