Class of 2024

Hometown: Hillsborough, North Carolina

Major: Neuroscience
Minors: Global Health, French Studies

As I learn more about injustices and health inequities locally and globally, I am made aware of my privilege to have unconditional support from those around me, to be in good health, and to have access to quality insurance and health care resources. There is no hierarchy when it comes to human lives, and I am passionate about affecting change for the greater good, uplifting those around me, and contributing towards building for a more equitable, just future. This is why I feel motivated to outstretch my hand to those in need of resources, or simply a friend to talk to, as a community resource navigator. I have always enjoyed connecting with people, and knowing that just a couple hours out of my day could potentially ease the stress and angst that many are experiencing compels me to volunteer. I am also interested in developing my personal knowledge and awareness of community resources as a Durham native. I look forward to using the skills I learn as a community resource navigator while coaching figure skating lessons, engaging in health policy, and navigating my Duke journey.
