Why Duke?

Solving problems is quite possibly the most important skill for an individual to possess. Any project, job, or hobby that I have ever been a part of has helped me to develop and appreciate this skill. Without engineers solving problems, the world would be a very different place.

Studying Mechanical Engineering and Economics has shown me that every problem must be approached with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to look at thinks from numerous perspectives. Only then can the best solution be achieved. By breaking down any task into manageable problems, even the most daunting challenges can be overcome.
