Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy all things filmmaking related, attempting new recipes, and playing ping pong and Mahjong. I'm also interested in all things East Asian from current cultural trends to past religious and spiritualistic movements.
Why Duke?
For me, the decision to come to Duke stemmed not only from the fact that Duke offers a variety of interdisciplinary paths giving me the freedom to explore, but also because of its incredibly supportive community that not only works hard but plays hard. Being so close to home, I can keep contributing and improving the passion projects I started that are so closely intertwined with the people here in NC. I am extremely grateful to the A.B. Duke scholarship for providing both a sense of financial security for me and my family as well as the enrichment opportunities for my studies here at Duke and abroad.
