Tell us about your experience as a scholar.
The unique mission and position of the B.N.s, specifically, have changed the way I view most things. As I’ve grown, I watch my classmates, I see what drives them, how they treat each other and themselves, and I feel differently about it than when I first arrived. My goals have changed: I’m allowing myself to explore life more, to slow down and watch, to make real impact instead of running to make money or do the “next thing.” I question things now I didn’t know needed to be questioned, I look further into the way I affect my community, and I don’t think I would’ve seen anything awry with my old mindset without the B.N.
