Hobbies: I really enjoy exploring my Indigenous culture through beading, dancing, and language. I also enjoy trying news foods and meeting new people.
Why Duke?
I knew Duke was the choice for me when I took a tour and immediately felt like I was at home. I didn't get that feeling at any other school I had visited.
On campus, I am a Cardea Fellow, a member of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc, a member of Duke Native American Student Alliance, and a member of Duke LIFE. I serve on the Cardea Fellows and NASA executive board at program chair. I also will be serving as the president of the Nu Chapter of APiO for the 2021-2022 year. I have also served as a Duke LIFE Peer Mentor.
The scholarship has allowed me to form connections with people who share the same drive to serve the Carolinas and give back to the communities we were raised in.
