Why Duke?

I chose Duke for its academic rigor and the endless opportunities that allow me to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone and try different things. At Duke, I was very involved with the international community; I join Duke International Association since my freshman year and served as one of its Co-President in my junior year. I also did Duke in Geneva and Duke in New York, and was an active member of the Duke Association for Business-Oriented Women (BOW). The Karsh Scholarship has provided me with a lot of resources to pursue what I'm interested in, as well as a community of friends, mentors, and faculty advisors whom I can always turn to for advice and support. I like going to events on campus with my friends, getting bubble tea on Ninth Street, or taking a walk in the Duke gardens when it's nice outside. Sometimes, I go off campus for a hike or to explore other restaurants in Durham.
