Idiris plans to declare a major in political science and to pursue the Human Rights Certificate. He is a member of the Student Advisory Board of the Human Rights Center and is a writer for Juris, Duke’s undergraduate law magazine. In summer 2022, Idiris served in the office of Massachusetts State Senator Ed Markey in Washington, D.C. as part of the Judiciary Pod focusing on domestic policy issues. In spring 2023, Idiris is serving as a house course instructor with Bull City Scholars DPS Middle School Outreach, which focuses on the history of education inequity in Durham middle schools.
