Karen is interested in studying the intersection of behavioral economics, statistics, and health policy. She has been serving as a research assistant with the Woldorff Lab in the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience since the start of her first year at Duke as a member of the fall 2022 Cognitive Neuroscience Research Internship cohort. There, she is exploring the cognitive neuroscience of attention, cognitive control, and perception using electrophysiological and functional neuroimaging methods. Outside of class, she is on the Polis Center for Politics Student Committee, serves as Blackwell House Council’s Communications Chair, and is a member of DTech. In her creative pursuits, Karen films with the Center for Documentary Studies and DUU Student Broadcasting, plays piano in the chamber music program, and sings with Temptasians, Duke’s Asian cultural a cappella group.
