Why Duke?
I chose Duke for its interdisciplinary learning, research, and community. My scholarship has enabled me to explore what Duke has to offer freely, and it has encouraged me to challenge myself, pursue new opportunities, and uplift others. Last year, I was awarded the first-year Julia Dale prize for mathematical excellence, and I was named a SPIRE fellow and a Reimagining Tech fellow. On campus, I serve as programs coordinator for Duke NSBE, I am a part of a Christian student ministry called ENC, and I am a peer facilitator for the Academic Resource Center. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring Durham, eating, and sleeping.
