Maya is a Public Policy and Linguistics major pursuing a certificate in Human Rights. She is involved with Duke Define American, the Kenan Refugee Project, the international relations magazine Borderless, Green Devils, and is currently working on research related to environmental policy. Her main academic interests include U.S. immigration issues, foreign policy, and minority rights.  She spent spring 2022 on the Duke in D.C. program and is spending her summer doing a legal internship with the Gauvin Law Firm.
