Class of 2023
Nellie Sun is from Vancouver, Canada, double majoring in Political Science and History. One day, she hopes to practice civil rights and public interest law as an attorney. Last summer, she interned for North Carolina Asian Americans Together, a non-profit organization focused on political and voting rights advocacy. There, she researched and aided with public education efforts on redistricting and voting rights bills. At Duke, she is currently a researcher on the Race and New Southern Politics Bass Connections Team. Nellie served as Attorney General for Duke Student Government, where she was involved in organizing student body-wide elections, ensured campaign ethics, and represented DSG in hearings. Additionally, she is the Vice President and a captain of Duke's mock trial team.
