Class of 2023

Hometown: Manchester, Connecticut

Majors: Statistical Science (Data Science Concentration); Sociology

I have been involved in research at Duke since my first semester when I took my first research independent study. Later, I participated in the Data+ program, which led to a research assistantship at the Samuel Dubois Cook Center on Social Equity, where I worked with a postdoc and another undergraduate to document racial inequality in home values in Durham, NC. Right now, I am writing a thesis to satisfy the Graduation with Distinction requirements of both my major departments, statistical science and sociology. I am fascinated by data science, especially when it is applied to answer interesting social science questions.
