Why Duke?

At Duke, I found a community that accepted my perspective and challenged me to deepen my engagement. Having an interest in biology and chemistry, I was able to research the globally significant pathogen Cryptococcus, all the while remaining involved in student groups like the Muslim Students Association. To me, scholarship represents the ability to pursue my passions with a sense of stability and security. For fun, I like to play pickup basketball and read classical literature.
