Tell us about your Duke experiences:

I am planning on majoring in Economics and Environmental Science and Policy. I'm undecided about what I might pursue post-grad but I'm exploring my passions in the intersection of sustainability and business, environmental economic policy, and environmental law. Since coming to Duke, I've become a member of the Duke Climate Coalition, working within the Energy Team on a biogas campaign, and I'm currently undergoing a year-long Sustainability Ambassadors Certification program with Duke Green Devils. I'm also a member of Duke’s premier all-women business organization BOW and a junior analyst for the Duke Investment Club. This spring semester, I started working as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Math Department, mentoring my peers in Calculus 112 (Calculus 2) under Professor Sarah Schott. In my free time, I enjoy long distance running in the outdoors (I've completed two half marathons and am hoping to train for a full marathon!), going to the beach, spending time with my friends and family, and eating lots and LOTS of delicious food. I am incredibly grateful and honored to be a part of the vibrant and supportive A.B. community where I've met so many motivated, interesting, and intellectually curious people. Every interaction I've had though the A.B. program, whether it be with a fellow scholar or with a Duke faculty member, has not only been intellectually stimulating, but has inspired me to continue exploring my passions and seeking new knowledge.
