Why Duke?

I see Duke University as a place for me to lead the change and make a real difference in the world through all the resources and unique opportunities. As a young scientist and a natural-born problem solver, I endeavor to be in a place I can collaborate over compete to innovate, which is precisely what Duke has to offer me. Through experiential learning, I know that Pratt School of Engineering can help me become who I aspire to be: an engineer and entrepreneur who transforms realities. Now, as a Karsh Scholar, one of the most prestigious merit scholarships at Duke, I can have my focus directed on developing new ideas, projects, and products for the real world. The most outstanding part, however, is the enrichment funding that will allow me to not only do a series of research but also to be present at international conferences, contests, and events. Last, but not least, I am grateful to be part of a family of talented people who is already changing the world.
