The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a range of scholarships, grants, and fellowships in Germany.
The Office of University Scholars & Fellows nominates Duke undergraduate and graduate applicants applying for Study Scholarships to Germany. The program also offers One-Year Research Grants for doctoral and post-doctoral students. DAAD is available to candidates from all academic disciplines.
German language ability must be commensurate with the plans for study or research. English-language research opportunities are available, and many degree programs are taught in English.
For more information, visit the Duke DAAD webpage. The campus deadline for DAAD is September 27, 2024.*
*Those applying for graduate work in Music, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Film, Design/Visual Communication, and Architecture follow separate timelines and direct application processes.
Should you have questions about DAAD, make an appointment with Karen Weber to learn more about the program.
